How the time flies! Red Carpet Prep Season is already upon us again!

So let's get this show on the road! Here are the instructions for how to take part in the DD Red Carpet 2025. Anyone who currently has a webcomic hosted or mirrored on DD can join. Doesn't matter if your comic is complete or not.

Just please remember, keep the images rated E (basically SFW) and we're good!

It's about time to get the Red Carpet going!

Submissions for the Red Carpet open on May 10 (that's tomorrow) and close on August 10!

Submit up to TWO characters, in TWO VERSIONS, both facing forward (as if posing for a photo, or trying to) at eye-level:

1st set should be your characters as they appear in the comic, in their usual outfits/hairdos/etc.

2nd set should be your SAME characters dressed up in formal clothes as they would if they were actors going to the Oscars.

Both sets should be on TRANSPARENT background.

From your images I will compose two wallpapers commemorating the 2025 DD Awards. The second set will also be presented in a special sequence when the Red Carpet event begins running!

If you need examples for what to do for the FIRST SET you'll be posting ON THIS THREAD, have a look at last year's thread.

If you need examples for what to do for the SECOND SECRET SET you'll be SENDING TO MY EMAIL, have a look at last year's Red Carpet.

Finally, important detail for when you send me your Formal Dress images: If I don't reply to you IN MY EMAIL that I got the images, then assume I haven't received them and that I don't have them. If you try again and I still don't respond, PQ me to resolve the issue. YOU STILL WILL NEED TO EMAIL ME. The reason for this is that I need all the images grouped up in one place so I don't forget anyone or leave anyone out of the collage. Okay? Please take note of this.

Decisions, decisions. Who to send this year?

I might send in a Theo + Rose one later, but for now, I'll just go with a light promotion for my new sports dramedy comic I'm launching with first pages sometime next week: The Odds. Here's Lumi, definitely the cutest, basketball-crazed mutant anglerfish you'll see today, who's also ~ the tomboy version of your basic shounen protagonist, and Octavia, who's surprise surprise: is an octopus type. I'll probably put some of the characters from the comic to use when it comes to presentations.
