so this week got 5 more rejections the auto send form letter kind.. one : bad credit score is why we didn't hire you even though you are the most experienced person who applied.. sorry but your lack of money wont let us hire you..
The credit check catch-22 IS hard to beat. Only thing for that is pull your credit file and dispute all the negative items. Or if you have money coming in. Call and negotiate payment arrangements with your creditors. That way the credit report will show "pays as agreed".
As for internet access. Many states have a department that helps job seekers with resumes, interview skills classes, and places to get internet access. Utah's is https://jobs.utah.gov/jobseeker/js.html Texas is https://www.twc.texas.gov/jobseekers/job-search For other states just google "workforce connections".
Okay, part of my job is to help the COMPLETELY CLUELESS fill out on-line job applications and in our area no one requires an application fee. I mean National chains as W@LMART, T@RGET, KR@GERS..etc. Some temp agencies do require upfront fees, but I wonder if this may be a reaction by the counter person to appearance of the person asking for a job? Just asking, I know that these scams are out there and this abuse does happen. Leo
Actually, employers abuse ignorance with scams like application fees all the time. Construction workers often don't even get paid, is another scam. Uniform that you take out of first week's pay if you don't return it or you stay on? Perfectly fine. The scammers will claim to have done the background check, then pocket it. Immigrants are a favorite whipping boy of employers when it comes to sh*t like this!
