I learned to love MLP (the current, 4th gen version). Considering that the people who started watching it are now going into college, I'm not surprised that the current season stars the mane 6 running a school and having to be teachers (And doing a bad job of it :-).
I like MLP I like discord and flutter shy .. I haven't seen the newest ones but I like how that world changes and grows .. I was explaining to a coworker a while back that I admired and liked people who openly shared there love of cartoons. they are strong enough to not have to bow to peer presser and social rolls..they are free to love what they love.. so I love people who love cartoons..
Boys still aren't allowed to enjoy stereotypically feminine things, even four year old boys get harassed for watching My Little Pony for instance. I may have to give Bojack Horseman a try, even though depressing cartoons usually don't cheer me up much. I did like Aggretsuko though.
when I worked with little kids I had to talk to parents who were mad cus there son was playing with dolls or playing dress up ..or the girl was playing with trucks or a football and they felt I should do something about this.. most cartoon worlds are stuck in this reset time loop were no one grows or changes.. Bojack's world changes.. I keep watching cus I want him to find his way out of the darkness..
