Usually, the key not turning is caused by the steering wheel lock. It's designed to prevent you from turning the steering wheel if the car is off (so if you parked on a hill and aimed the wheels toward the curb to prevent it from rolling, it won't straighten out by itself and roll). But as a side effect it can lock the key in place if the steering wheel turns or is placed under pressure after you turn the car off. Jiggling the steering wheel back and forth will usually free it so you can turn the key.

We're all here for you Riley, Warmwind, Lan, Feloni, Nowhereman, Gator, even many people I dont know yet, we've been worried about you in your journeys and keep checking in to see that you've had a great day!
From what I hear, things like your characters talking to you is a sign of a good writer. Usually they only nudge you down a path of their story that you didn't foresee the story going towards, but here they seem to be trying to help you out in following your goals. So long as they're truly trying to be helpful, the people you make up could be as beneficial as friends, particularly when your worried and otherwise alone. I, at least, will not fault you for keeping their companionship, at least until you're in a safe place.

Little Sister is what he wants to be in relation to you. Next time you meet him, offer him a Cookie, and call him Big Brother and watch his reaction.

My mom had a Toyota Camry that had that and it really annoyed me, every time I drove her car I got the wheel stuck.

Our imaginations play an important role in who we are, sometimes even more important than real-life factors. So in a sense they are real to us.
