so a story I didn't feel was worth sharing cus it has no moral or resolution it was just a lot of mice and they went up my coat and into a glass of water.. so I was glad to leave mice behind….

Your face with the mouse up your sleeve is great, and the kitty hat makes it even better. Even though the reality of getting a scared mouse out of your clothes without being bit is a bit scary.
A cat goes a long ways to ridding a place of mice... not exactly a great solution for the mice, and need to take care for the cat.
...have a vague impression mice don't like moth balls and will tend to avoid places they've been scattered.
5 gallon bucket with bait above it on a spinning can or a pivot. Lots of videos of it on YouTube. If you want to kill them, put a few inches of water in it. If you don't want to kill them, you'll have to build some sort of flaps around the edges of the bucket, or they'll jump out. (The water serves to both kill them, and to prevent them from jumping by not alloing their feet to reach the bottom.)
They are living creatures, but they can be scary because they carry some bad diseases. Best when they live outside in the wild and the people can stay safe in houses without them.
