so I made all of 28 dollars and failed at forcing children to watch peppa pig.. let them play trucks and blocks and got in trouble for it… a dreadful time was had by all….. with much yelling… I need a job but,,
At that job be careful. What you said gave me the impression that the current employee is not doing a good job and the management has hear things from the parents/customers. They might be looking to put some one (ie you) else to replace her, or dealing with her could be a test to see how you handle the situation. Work only with what the company provides, as you don't know how long you'll be there. If nothing else this gives you a job which increases you chances of getting another one. Take care.
If that's having such a harsh effect on you, imagine how the kids are handling it? How are the kids going to learn from just sitting in front of the TV all day long? I think you should ask some questions about how this is acceptable.

I read the Patreon comments on this and I agree that you shouldn't rock the boat too much on this. Just play along for now and bid your time while you look for another job that'll you can be happier working.
But yeah, no teaching the kids to read? No teaching them a little math or anything else, much less not letting them play. I mean, I can understand if there are specific times of the day the kids can go out and play, but the ENTIRE TIME sitting and doing nothing but watch TV!?
Agreed, don't rock the boat. I learned when I moved (before finding a new job - figured I could find one when I got there since I had plenty of savings to live on for a while) that it's *MUCH* harder to find a job if you don't currently have a job. HR seems to look for any excuse to throw your resume away, and if you don't currently have a job they assume the worst possible reason (e.g. fired from your last job) and just throw your resume away. And most of the time I see businesses take a least-risky activity route, it's because of insurance reasons. Maybe they got sued for a kid getting hurt while playing, and they're trying to minimize the chance of another insurance claim until it falls off their general liability insurance history in 3 years.
what the hell? "Let them watch tv and not allowing them to play" is creating fat or weak kids. that person in charge should be fired for being a lazy douchebag
This is insane, kids need real-word entertainment far more than TV. Anything you can do to add some variety to the kids' lives would be an improvement. Please keep trying to make their lives better, maybe the management will eventually change their attitude. You're those kids' best hope.
