See my comment on page 14 for the Millennium Group reference. If you know Millennium's 2nd season, then you know what “their whole scenario” was going to be… but it doesn't really matter for my story if you don't.

My basic thoughts behind this were: Since in the TV series Frank Black is freelancing as a profiler for the FBI I thought here we could have it the other way around: Venus (the black haired one) is an FBI agent, Mercury (the blond one) a police officer, and they're both freelancing for the Millennium Group.
