@bravo - Hahahaha! This comic is indeed made up of several parts from that comic about Dogpatch...I've seen part of the musical, I think, on Youtube and it looked pretty good. I like the comic at times. Been reading some collected editions lately. Continuity Falls will have to move away from being TOO similar at some point, and it...will. I think. x)

And yes, I am well supplied with Lil Abner trivia. The musical is one of my favorites as is the movie version which had an amazing cast.

And all the simple folk of Dogpatch, um, Continuity Falls will find themselves right in the middle like a creamy filling. And of course Mavis is on a par with Apassionata Von Climax or Stupifyin' Jones.
