Pookas are a trickster changeling, a fey creature often found in human form. has the ability to change form when no one is watching tricksters by nature, they are generally thought of as being immature and untrustworthy. (which lead to most of them being killed off.. in the LWD's world. Lan's father belived himself to be the last of his people.) Pookas originally appear in Celtic mythology where they usually take the form of an alternately friendly and playful or extremely dangerous horse. also said to take bunny like forms.. most encounters with humans end with the human dead or dumped in the swamp if they like you.
