My head hurts from thinking about that for so long, but I finally found the answer and it is... If someone tells you to do something, and you plan not to do it, and you don't do it, you both succeeded at your plan, and failed at the other person's plan. My head hurts again.

You know, I think this would be a situation where both outcomes are success and failure together. You plan to fail, and do: the result is a success and a failure. You plan to fail, but don't: the result is a failure (to fail) but also a success. I like 2ndwnd's "nonsense" comment...
