What I did on my holidays... Banes and Ozoneocean are back for the new year! Happy new year everybody! Banes and Ozone chat about all the non-comic stuff they did over the new years break, just a lot of general banter, jokes, and back and forth, talking about stuff we felt was cool and fun over that time. The kind of stuff you do over the holidays!
Episode 136 - The Tantzcast

Quackcast 136 is hosted by the fine femme fatale Tantz Aerine with her amazingly attractive Greek accent! Tantz interviews Basil and Fotis, two characters from her comic; Without Moonlight. Without Moonlight is set during World War II, in Greece in the city of Athens under German occupation. We learn about with the population do to try and resist and survive in those terrible times and about some of the horrible things the occupying forces did. But we also see the heroism, the bravery and the good humour under stress shown by Fotis and his redoubtable groups of comrades. Here we go for the second part of Quackcast 133 where we made up a list of crazy interview questions and a lot of great people answered them in the personalities of their comic characters in really silly and fun ways. The idea was an evolution of what I did for Quackcast 132, except here Banes and I acted out all the parts. Like Quackcast 127, 128 is about early print comic influences, except this time it's the influences of Banes and Ozoneocean. We have a good long chat together about some of the old print comics that had the biggest influences on us in our early days of comic making... and reminisce about good old fun times reading those great comics like Mad Magazine and what we learned and took away from those experiences in art style, genre, comedy, and writing style.

For Quackcast 127 we asked the DD community about the traditional print comics that influenced them over the years, from their early days onward. No webcomics! Only the old printed kind in comic books or newspapers, or gum wrappers or... however else people got their comicbook goodness. And it was TOTALLY ok to talk about mainstream comics like Batman and Superman if that was their thing or obscure stuff no one ever heard of or weird embarrassing crap like He-Man comics, whatever, it's all good, we wanted to know! We got quite a few responses and we thank everyone for those, It also gave us a chance to do our funny voices again, which we appreciated!

Niccea tells Ozoneocean all about this year's DD comic awards! They're just starting and just beginning to pick up steam! You can join the discussion to help direct how the awards will work, you can try and become an awards judge or you can even try and get your wonderful webcomic nominated for a DD Award!!!! Actually, even if you don't DO a comic you can nominate your faves and help along with the whole process. At the moment they want you to submit a bit of artwork on a fun theme where your characters try and raise money to help with the awards, as a way of showcasing your stuff and helping you get nominated/voted for. Just go to the DD award comic!
