Hanukkah has been, Winter Solstice is coming up, then Christmas, then Kwanzaa, then the best party of the year: New Years!!! Hooray! For this Quackcast Banes Interviews the jolly bearded man in the red suit, Christmas comics are discussed, Secret Santa comics, and finally the The 2013 DD Radio Play!

Episode 138 - The Drunkcast, Part 2!

Tantz Aerine, Pit Face and Banes join Ozoneocean for the second part of the Drunkcast! The theme is the same as last week: four webcomicers getting drunk and chatting drunkenly about drinking, as a homage to our site's proud former moniker: Drunk Duck. Tantz from an atmospheric bar in Athens called "Comics". Very appropriate! We rambled and rambled and had a great time. Hooray for the Drunkcast!!! And a HAPPY Belated Birthday to Pit Face's older brother Dustin, who we wish to live old enough to have white hair and when people talk about him they'll say he's a wise person!

Tantz Aerine, Pit Face and Banes join Ozoneocean for the Drunkcast! The theme of this week's Quackcast was four webcomicers getting drunk and chatting drunkenly about drinking, as a homage to our site's proud former moniker: Drunk Duck. Tantz even Quackcasted from a bar in Athens (Greece), called "Comics", so it was extremely appropriate! We apologise for the rambling and any off-colour dialogue, but we've kept it for authenticity's sake. It was a rather long chat too so we've had to spread it across two quackcasts. Quackcast 136 is hosted by the fine femme fatale Tantz Aerine with her amazingly attractive Greek accent! Tantz interviews Basil and Fotis, two characters from her comic; Without Moonlight. Without Moonlight is set during World War II, in Greece in the city of Athens under German occupation. We learn about with the population do to try and resist and survive in those terrible times and about some of the horrible things the occupying forces did. But we also see the heroism, the bravery and the good humour under stress shown by Fotis and his redoubtable groups of comrades. For Quackcast 135 the devastatingly attractive war-goddess Pitface takes over! Pitface, the author of the ever popular and very disgusting Putrid Meat, fills Ozoneocean's stinky shoes this week to have an interview with two of her main characters; Bones and Puke. Bones is somewhat contrite after his behaviour during Ozone's interview with him during Quackcast 134... Well, his lawyer says he is anyway. If you don't know about Putrid meat then I'll tell you: It's a comic about the anarchistic, thrash metal loving Bones and his gloriously gross adventures in the disgusting city of Septica with serial killers, prostitutes, soldiers, mutants and scum. There's strong inspiration from everything from Judge Dredd in Mega City to the music of Anthrax, Megadeath and more. Much more! READ

Welcome back to the Quackcast! Christmas time is just over the horizon so it's the time of year again for the Secret Santa community fanart project! For Quackcast 105 we talk to Reashi who this year is in charge of making sure this all happens. But was is the DD Secret Santa? Well let me tell you! First you visit the secret Santa thread and sign up while there's still time, Deadline has been extended to Friday the 14th- find the sign up thread from the link below and also Skool's lovely newspost. So back to what it IS... Well it's a lucky dip fan art thing. The people who sign up request what they'd like to receive and then after the deadline they're randomly and in secret assigned one of their fellow list members, so it's a surprise who you get your art present done by! So sign up, it might be ME who does your present! ^_^

Fact one, BANES invented Freals! In this Quackcast that we recorded weeks and weeks ago, Banes and I read out many of the funny and interesting facts from the Cool Facts thread in the Random Discussion part of our forum. Then we added lots of funny asides. We thought it was hilarious and we hope you do to. The Cool Facts thread was started by Subcultured, one of our original and best mods ever on DD, and has been contributed to by many DDers over the years.
