SS2 73 Mum's not happy!

Hi all,
Em worked out last week how to get DD to upload changes to the pages!! So at last I will be able to go back and correct all the typos and inconsistencies that have been making me squirm for so long! While I'm raving about Em's abilities I must mention her new story out this week. I know she has been musing over it for some time, and I've just checked out the pages myself and it looks really interesting! It seems like it's going to be a dark, creepy tale with a little romance thrown in as well, and the heroine has one very sinister looking doll !!! . You can see it for yourself at PUPPETS AND STRINGS Also if you're into dollies, it's probably worth reminding you of Emeraldas's lovely strip as well called PIERROT which is pretty damn cutesy, and I love it for both it's cute art and sweet story!!
Just one last mention: DD is a great place to make friends and chat, learn about each others cultures and lifestyles right across the world, but we all have to remember that not all people have good intentions especially towards young pretty people(I think I just scrape in there!), and I've had one cause this week to be very worried about one of my readers.
Admin have posted a good warning in the editorial which is worth reading, but to quote one line from it which I think makes real good sense: ‘If you have friends online that you would rather keep secret from in-person friends and family, why is that? Are you really convinced they are safe for you?’
Have a great weekend, Sky :)

I'm gonna have to side with Sarah's mom on this one. She's been as supportive as she could be but after coming home to the scenario she came home to, it's normal for her to react that way. You leave your sick kid at home and come back to find them with their girlfriend or boyfriend, and it all goes out the window. She's been quite supportive but Sarah's pushing it...

Her mom sounds like alot of moms. She's just worried about her daughter's future. If she had a boyfriend it would be the same thing. Love the expressions :)

Being the internet psycho that I am, the behaviour of some of the other psycho's out there really concerns me. People, internet stalking is one thing, but when you move out of the zone and start ACTUALLY stalking, you're no longer an internet psycho. You're a real life psycho. And that's not cool. Although I do get Sarah's mum's response... actually... she's... er... kinda right.

LOL i actually don't tell my mum about friends I meet online, because she's convinced that they're peadophiles and rapists that I'm going to meet one day...even though they all come from america. ._. I don't get my mum sometimes, but I guess it's because of her lack of understanding of the cyber world (I'm the most computer lit person in the family :'D ) but it does worry me too, about people out there and how easy it is to get yourself into danger. speaking of mothers, Sarah's mum is dang right. I hate it when my friends whine about issues with their bf or gf, and I just say we've got a whole life ahead but we can only do these exams once, so lets just all drop the love problems until we get our lives on the right tracks first. but that's because I'm just a sad, lonely single lesbian. ;D

ouch, that's some burning Mum-truth. Pierrot is also one of my faves, it's very sweet indeed

I'm okay. It's my real-life friends I try to keep quiet about! ;-) Oh, and Sarah's mum - what a trooper! As understanding as all kids wish their mums could be and firm enough to draw the line where all parents know it should be!

Sky, How true, how true the net is a very scary place to be, so many young talented people here on DD who are innocent and naive when talking to someone who compliments the work they do. They don't realize how one slip and they have a predator after them. Sarah's mom hands out giant economy servings of ice cold reality.

Solid as always.
