SS6 101 End of Chapter Six

So this is absolutely it for now! This leaves us with two big questions I know, which are ‘Will Janey and Sarah ever get back together?’ and ‘Will they find that Witch bottle?’. I must admit I was very tempted to just end it here and let readers decide for themselves how they preferred it to end as there's always been a divide over Janey cheating on Sarah as well as the idea of whether Lenore is real or imagined.
But…as I've said before, this was never the planned official ending as we have other characters whose pages were put into storage for the sake of pace and focus on the main Laura/Lenore story line, and these are pages that all help wind up the entire SS series much more nicely so I'm still excited about getting those done. We're also finally preparing SS for publication too!
Most importantly though, Sarah has been like a child to me these last 10 years; she's re-lived a lot of slices from my own life, expressed my most private thoughts and feelings in a way that felt safe and fun to do so and even allowed me to live out a few fantasies too! So my Sarah really is what SS has always been about for me personally all these pages and in the epilogue my main attention will be on her again just as it was in the beginning showing how she has evolved since those early school days, become a strong and confident woman and how her friends have grown with her.

Ha! There she is, metal detector and attitude :D Well, I'm guessing she and Sarah will talk about the bottle in the new part, at least a bit, so hopefully we'll hear what happened, anyway. Thanks for 10 great years, enjoy your break!

Dear Sky, Well thanks for not ending SS with this page. It might have been a nice way to go but would have left many of us guessing as to what had happened. Wow ten years! Amazing how many pages you drew and all the time it takes to think up a story/plot that so enjoyable. I loved every single page. I can not thank you enough. And thanks to Becky also. tommym

Tommym: Each chapter really divides into three stages. Thinking up a nice story, planning how to tell it, and then doing the final scripts and art. The first stage I'm at now is easier this time as I already have the left over scripts from part six to link up and I already have a fairly clear idea of how I want to do that, so it's really just a question of daydreaming along the time line to see what else works and what doesn't, which is both fun and frustrating at times!

Coydog: Have you ever used one? I assumed it would be amazingly easy but the one I tried just had headphones and you had to try and decipher the spitting sounds coming through to decide if it was worth digging.

You are a wonderful storyteller, artist and person Sky and it all shows in this labor of love that you started a decade ago! I have been so honored to have been on this journey for half of that time and I am going to feel lost without being able to follow Sarah's tale and these characters that have become friends, and having a page to color each week. I am so thrilled to get to have a copy to hold in my hands too! Looking forward to the epilogue and following you into the sunset of stories!

Bex: Aww Shucks! Yea, it's been an amazing five years we've had working together and you know how much we all appreciate your own input and enthusiasm in colouring all these pages for us. Giving you a physical copy is the least I can do to say thank-you for all your hard work and support but right now it feels so good to think I can waste time and look forward to Christmas without having to scrape enough time up to turn out more pages! I'm even thinking of starting a jigsaw puzzle just for the hell of it

Dzzzzz-beep! I'm sure we'll all wait (im)patiently for the rest. It will be strange not checking it before bed on a Saturday evening (like now). I keep seeing all these advice things about "never get back with an ex-", but I think I would have, 'irl', given the opportunity (well i HAD it, but I was an idiot), so if you go that way, I'll "forgive" you ! B-) Enjoy the break.

Bear: I always feel I must refrain from saying too much about the forth coming pages for fear of plot spoiling but I've had plenty of time to think about these two since they split up and all I can say is, I still feel good about what was originally written and I can only really write about what excites me most, so I just hope it comes out okay. :)
