SS7 69 Sarah makes a joke

Recap: Janey has come all the way down from Scotland to look after her sick mother and help her ex-partner Sarah find some mythical witch bottle. During the time they have spent together Sarah has often shown she still has a chip about Janey's past behaviour but just recently she has mellowed.
We're now at a point in the story which takes place just six weeks before
the grand concert Sarah and Nikki attend at the start of this chapter and from here on things will start to move fairly fast so I hope you enjoy the ride!

Duck Anthology
Some of you may have noticed the Duck is planning a short story anthology to be published to raise money for the site and the selected choice of category for the book is ‘horror’ which appeals to me muchly! So I'm preparing a 8-10 page'pitch' which IF accepted means I will possibly be diverting some of my attention from SS to work on it as I'll be working to a set deadline, but hopefully I won't need to! More about that later.

So it all comes crashing down with a innocent attempt at humour? And is Janey's reaction due to guilt? Deep down she knows she had something special, but she blew it? As for the anthology - that sounds really cool. Good luck with that Sky, and if you need to take time away from Simply Sarah - that's okay.

Fruitbat: Yes it do and Janey will elaborate over the next couple of pages. As for the anthology I want to keep this going as much as I can because of the story being such a slow burn anyway and I don't like missing updates if I can help it.

Nic and Ben: Sorry for the late replies this week I've been consumed with working on two comics instead of one for a change! As Becky says, great points and I have to admit I felt it was time Sarah's bitching ended. ;)

@NicAndBen You make a lot of good, and thoughtful points. I agree with Janey here too. What she did to Sarah was an awful betrayal but impetuous. Sarah's constant put-downs are damaging and most of the time she intends them to be.

I love Janey's face in panel 5; she looks so done with Sarah's crap! :D Eeee, I'm so excited to see what will eventually come of all of this!!

Fred: Lovely to see you again :) Yes, she has to go back to Scotland and Sarah could yes. Sarah works at Smallwoods, a clothing dept store in town :)

Dear Sky, Girls standout nicely with forest as back drop. Janey is correct,Sarah has been harping about the "cheat"endlessly. Time to give it up Sarah! Give Janey a nice long wet kiss and make up:) Great coloring also. tommym P.S. How can you not be accepted? Phantom of the Opera VS Sarah,Nikki, and the Prima Donna :)
