SS7 72 Breakdown
skyangel on Sept. 7, 2020
Recap: Janey has come all the way down from Scotland to look after her sick mother and help her ex-partner Sarah find some mythical witch bottle. During the time they have spent together Sarah has often shown she still has a chip about Janey's past behaviour but just recently she has mellowed.
My short story for the Duck Anthology has been accepted so as I said last week our updating will probably be a bit erratic over the next month at least while I now commit myself to working on the finished art for that, and I must admit so far I'm loving the chance to jump away from SS for a change and work on a different story. Duck has requested that we don't share the finished stories online for a year from the publication date as this is all about selling the book to help raise funds to support the Duck but I will be able to share snippets as we go along.
Have a nice week! :)

Don't have to undo, Dear Janey, just have to be able to deal with it and move beyond it

DV: Very true

Oh wow! This is so sweet. I didn't expect Janey to get far in her wellies, but I wasn't expecting this. I think this is what Janey needed to say and what Sarah needed to hear, and the last frame . . . that was what was needed too. ............................................................ And there's a second "Oh wow!" for the anthology. That's great. Good luck with the story.

Fruitbat: I love your enthusiasm here, it's a wonderful incentive for me! :) While writing this I felt it was kind of fitting that Janey should take so much of Sarah's anger on board and not react to it until Sarah herself felt a sense of injustice in what she was doing to someone trying to make amends.-------------------------------------------------- The anthology story too is great fun for me as it's so different to this but I don't want to stay away from this too long in case I start to lose the feel of it.

Awww, I love this. It's so sad that it took this long for Sarah to say that she forgave Janey; but I totally understand that it would be difficult to forgive such a thing. Wow, I am wondering if this will drive these two back together. :3

Gemi: I felt that cheating on your partner is such a big issue for most of us that Janey's forgiveness had to come at a very high price if Sarah was truly going to finally put it behind her. :)

Believe this is the first time she has had the _chance_ to forgive

A very sweet page. And not a bad place to sit for a while as you attend to your other project.

Thanks: We are so close to the end now though that as the momentum of the story is gathering pace I don't want to end up slowing it down by long pauses, so I'm trying to keep up with it.
