I think the biggest sign of doom for Sarah and Lucy is how little she clearly thinks of Lucy’s big concert. I get that Lucy might not be a great player, but she’s mocking and belittling something that clearly has great importance for Lucy. Doesn’t sound like you’re really that enraptured with her anymore, let alone being a supportive partner Sarah?

Weird_light: Lovely comment! On one hand we have a young woman living her dream but on the other we have a lavish concert being funded by a father who desperately wants to win his daughter back after having threatened to kill her girlfriend Laura. Sarah has also felt the concert pushes her aside in favour of Laura so I imagine she has a lot of mixed emotions about the whole thing.

Back to the beginning . . . in a way . . .and we have the raggedly dressed woman in the background, the one who apparently left no footprints in the snow. And is this the last we see of her because Sarah has finally moved on? Maybe not . . .

Fruitbat: No, this isn't the last we see of her. I'd planned all along for the finale to blend the end of Lenore's story into the concert but when I recently finalised the script it didn't really work out as there would be just too much going at the same time. So I've separated the two endings and hopefully it will read much better.

Sarah looks fantastic in panel 5; those colors really suit her. Sort of creepy how manifested that image of Lenore is, as well as how she's just standing there in her antique-style garment without anyone else noticing.

Gemi: I wrote three versions of this scene! originally the woman is a gypsy selling lucky heather and as Sarah pays for it she see's Lenores face instead for a moment. I then changed it to Sarah seeing her standing there but Nikki denying anyone was there which also felt pretty creepy as she didn't just disappear either! But the doorman also sees her after they go into the concert so I thought maybe I should just ditch that idea too.
