I got my third rejection letter today. This one is from United Media. The good news is that it isn't strictly a from letter. There is a very brief handwritten note included this time out.
I'm pleased.
P.S. Randal - copy and paste :)

Seth, there's nothing specific to your submission in a form letter. No boxes either. Coin's pretty much right. Regarding the note, brief is the key word here. There's not much to share. It's not a big deal; I'm just happy about getting something remotely human as a response. Thank you for creating the design, Ozone :)

Indeed, I wouldn't mind hearing what the note had to say as well, if you don't mind sharing... A form letter would probably just be something like 'thank you for your interest, but we have no need for blah blah blah' type material. Nice work with the strip, anyway :)

what did the handwritten note say? I'm interested to hear, if you're willing. What do they say in form letters? is it like a question about your comic, and then boxes checked saying whta it did good and what it did bad.
