There's a reason that stump's there. It's actually pretty important to the history of the world, at least in this little corner of it. I'm pretty sure it's vital to why the ogres are no longer a presence in this neck of the woods…
Anyway, to clear a few things up, Argae, the drakin (small dragon…thing) that is doing the narrating, is female. Male drakin sport spines and other pointy projections all over their bodies.

Ooh, I really like this concept of the trees. I can definitely feel the import of the stump, and I can tell there's tons of history to this world you've made! ah...sorry for the gender confusion earlier. I was under the impression that the narrator was female, but not the character I was seeing! I gots confused. @_@
