Hi, my name is Carlos. I am a Psychologist and the author of the original webcomic, Masks.

The World of Masks was created over a decade ago when I wanted to play an original superhero story with my friends. After a long time and several changes, this story is coming to life.

Masks is an original story that follows Danielle, a young adult, as she struggles to find her identity and self-worth in a world unlike ours.

Though there is a catch; in the world of Masks, superhumans have existed since the dawn of humankind. As you can imagine, this changed many things, and this story diverges from our reality within two key moments.

The first key moment is that colonization during the 16th century did not go as expected, and the second one is during the 20th century with the Great War. I could say more, but I think it's best if you find for yourself the differences while reading the comic.

This is a deeply personal story where I’ve poured my experiences as a psychologist. I hope that you find an entertaining and intriguing story to follow in the lives of our heroes and villains.

Masks is an ongoing work-in-progress of which approximately 60% is already in written form, however, I am no artist and, as such I work with a professional to ensure that the comic is amazing.

All of this comes from my own pockets and while I can work on continuing the comic, with your help I will be able to push forward some goals. Increasing the amount of content delivered monthly, being able to work on some of the side stories, and much more.

El mundo de Masks fue creado hace más de una década cuando quise jugar una historia original de superhéroes con mis amigos. Después de mucho tiempo y varios cambios, esta historia está cobrando vida.

Masks es una historia original que sigue a Danielle, una adulta joven, en su lucha por encontrar su identidad y su valía personal en un mundo similar al nuestro.

Aunque hay una trampa; en el mundo de Masks, los superhumanos han existido desde el despertar de la humanidad. Como puedes imaginarte, esto ha cambiado muchas cosas, y esta historia difiere de nuestra realidad en dos momentos claves.

El primer momento clave es cuando la colonización no fue como esperaban durante el siglo XVI y, el segundo momento es durante la Gran Guerra en el siglo XX. Podría decir más, pero creo que es mejor que descubras las diferencias mientras lees el cómic.

Esta es una historia muy personal donde he vertido mis experiencias como psicólogo. Espero que encuentres una historia entretenida e intrigante mientras sigues las vidas de nuestros héroes y villanos.
