Joe Zabel is a writer and cartoonist best known for his work as an illustrator and cover artist for Harvey Pekar's American Splendor.
Zabel has created the graphic novel Bulletproof and the mystery comic series The Trespassers. As a webcomics creator, Zabel worked for Modern Tales and edited the webcomics review site The Webcomics Examiner.

Currently, Joe is focusing on painting, writing flash fiction, and a new full-color anthology comic, Emperor Tom and Other Stories, which will be previewed on The Duck.
