Since Midge mentioned Dad's design on the previous page, I'll confess that I'm dying to use it again. Sadly what you're witnessing here is his departure, and he won't be back for some time.
Originally I intended to go to Munich airport and draw some sketches to base this scene's backgrounds on… but since in the final script the scene was cut down considerably, and I was too lazy to drive all the way to the airport, I simply made all of the surroundings up.

the dialogue is near perfect...she is so mad with that storm cloud...hee-hee! is astro-boy an influence? great job!

Great comic so far. I really like your style, and the characters are interesting. I'm not sure why, but the cover and first couple pages gave me the same sort of sense as Nausicaa. (That's a good thing. It's one of my favorites.)

Damn, the big panel looks awersome. You're doing a great job here, blending detail with some degree of sketchiness. I've always liked characters seen from afar being drawn as if they were clay figures, i.e. a bit simplified. I'm curious to see where the story goes!
