DMC - Page 01

This was going to be the first page in a project called Dead Man's Chest, the story of a Sixteenth Century pirate who finds himself in modern day New York, searching for a chest that will return him to his own time.
Pencilled and inked by Ulises Curiel, coloured by Bill Key and lettered by Oscar Cavazos, it stalled with only a few pages complete due to Ulises's other commitments. And, just to rub salt in the wound, while it's been in comic limbo, those pesky Pirates of the Caribbean have snuck up and stolen my title!
Reminder: If you're enjoying the BVC Scrap Book, don't forget to look in on our main comic Shades.

Yeah - pesky one-eyed, one-legged, parrot totin' bilge-rats. And stuff. Oh well - the idea is still good, I think. Maybe one day I'll find a new artist who wants to run with this one. Shame, though - Ulises did some great pages. I'll probably put some more here one day.

It sounds like a cool idea. Pesky PotC!
