Just a little something we whipped up in PhotoShop for Hallowe'en 2009. This was originally posted over with the Shades comic, but we moved it from there so as not to interrupt the flow of the story. Sorry we couldn't move all your comments with it! :(
Lem: Tricky thing to get a handle on, the British sense of humour! I once tried to explain it to some German and East European colleagues. I said it often relies on what's implied rather than said, that it can be quite critical but with an edge tempered by an element of self deprecation, and that it tends to mix fairly obscure and apparently unrelated factors ... Another of my British colleagues promptly said: "No, David - that's just yours!"
Plymayer: Thanks!
Ha! Now my comment will last! Muahaha!
Not that I have much to contribute beyond the anecdote that my brother was looking over my shoulder when this page went online and I was laughing while he was "I'm sure it's funny, but I'm also sure I won't get why."
