Bad Comic 1 -- "Frank and Vinny"

Apparently, this comic has a few loyal viewers, but in itself, it could DEFINITELY see some improvement. If you wish to suggest a comic that you think is “bad” enough to be reviewed on “Bad Comics” just put your suggestion as a comment below.

"But yes, I am a fan, and therefore biased. But does being biased really matter?" Yes, it does matter because if you are biased, you won't rate comics based on whether they are good or bad, but instead whether YOU like it or not, but since you admit your comment was biased, your opinions are not valid.

I respect your opinion, but just because a his using stick figures isn't that bad. Sure his art isn't anything to look forward to, but his jokes and facial expressions make it a worth while comic. But yes, I am a fan, and therefore biased. But does being biased really matter?

Hogan, I can assure you that I do not "bash" other comics in my comic. I just merely review other comics that may seem not up to standard. As for my review being biased, I only base my review a select number of pages, the fewer the better as this would make the review more unbiased. However, if someone were to read a great deal of pages from a particular comic, they would eventually grow fond of that comic despite how good or bad that comic may really be, RESULTING IN A BIASED REVIEW. I will not argue with this any further: if your opinion about the comics I review are in any way biased, I do not wish to hear about them.

...in the future, if you like a comic that appears on "Bad Comics" in the future, please do not comment about that particular comic in a positive light, as that would make your comment biased. So... your review is biased because you don't like it and choose to review it in that light? We, the readers, are not allowed to make positive comments about it if we like it, because thats biased... which means that if we don't like it, we are not allowed to make bad comments about it either... or? So, if we like it we shall find things to critisize, and if we don't like it, we shall find happy things to say? Just your comment makes we wonder if this is just supposed to become a "Bad Comic Basher?"?

In that case KAM, what flaws did you see in "Frank and Vinny"? What do you think could use improvement in that comic? Feel free to disuss about that.

Actually I never read the comic before I read your review & I only looked at 2 or 3 strips, so I'm not a fan.

In response to your comment KAM, despite the fact that the characters in "Frank and Vinny" might have expressive faces, they are nonetheless still stick figures. Drawing stick figures in comics is lazy regardless of how expressive there faces may be. Also, because you like "Frank and Vinny" and therefore have read this comic, your opinion about this comic is biased. My opinion, on the other hand, is not biased since I have just read this comic. Therefore, my opinion is much more valid than yours. Now, I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with what you said, and I'm pleased that you posted a link to this particular comic, but in the future, if you like a comic that appears on "Bad Comics" in the future, please do not comment about that particular comic in a positive light, as that would make your comment biased. Thank you.

1. I was expecting a more comic strip style of review rather than a big block o'text with half a head at the bottom. True, reviews don't necesarily lend themselves to a very graphic way of getting your point across, but reading you talk about how stick figures are a lack of artistic skill I thought you might have helped your point by illustrating with examples. That sort of thing. 2. You should post a link to the comic you are reviewing so people can actually go check it out & see if they agree with your review. For instance Frank & Vinny 3. For a stick figure comic Frank & Vinny have the most expressive faces I've ever seen in a stick figure comic. Some SFCs I've seen usually go with blank faces which is really annoying, but I was impressed with the way he did faces on his characters in the few comics I looked at.
