Chapter 1: Page 5

Hhmm, David's regulation processing didn't go through. This doesn't happen to everyone. In fact, this barely happens at all…

This page was fairly easy, and I'm getting pretty excited, simply because the story's about to kick in. It's very dialogue heavy, and it'll stay that way throughout the first chapter or so, but trust me, the action will be very worthwhile.
As usual, I used Photoshop and my Wacom. Had a little bit of wine, too. Metallica's the music of the moment, which could explain a bit of the harsh brushwork on some of it.
Hope you enjoy CS so far, and I'll see you on the 12th!

Rydel6 - Many thanks for such kind words. I'm really honored you think so highly of my work. Not only will I try to maintain my current style, I promise to work to refine and improve upon it, too. I use Photoshop to do my painting, using a base coat of 100% opacity for filling in shapes, and using a low opacity brush for my high and low lights. Many thanks of the idea of putting the drop-down menu near the top, too. It'll really help newer readers find out where to begin. oneminutecomics - Thanks alot for the kind words. It really is amazing how a far a little booze and a little metal go, eh? :D

haha, thatsa lot like how I do my pages. Rock music, some alcohol and my wacom :D I like the artistic look of it.

One thing I forgot. While navigating through the pages, I couldn't see how many more I had to go before I hit the end. That handy drop down that comes with DD to list pages would be a great re-addition to the page layout.

It's rare that I see a comic that makes me have to go through their archive because I love the comic at first sight. It's even more rare that I actually go back and read all of the author's comments. Simply put, you style - or better put, your art is tremendous in quality and very pleasing to the eye. Your dialog is also great. Together with your art work and the noir felling it reminds me of the old Maxx Payne video game. If you keep up this quality of work for 30 more pages I guarantee you will be featured one day. Btw, which program do you use when you paint? Also, instant fav. Keep up the good work!

D0m - Sorry the page is a bit confusing. It's still tough for me to do noir-style voiceovers, especially so early in the comic. David's nervous about his validation going through (which will be explained soon ;). While the processing consultant notices David's denied a license, she still tries to keep rapport. She turns around, and noticed David already left. Hope that helps. :D EmilyTheStrang - Many thanks for the compliment, and I completely understand about technology. It and I don't get along very well, either. :D I heart artists - Thanks so much, it's much appreciated. :)

Your technique is remarkable.

The whole "Please... Please.. Process" thing is something I have to do with my computer all the time. xD; Man the style looks cool..

Hm. I'm a litttle confused as to what's happening. Good art, anyway.
