Now that you mention it EssayBee, that's exactly what nails the cover for me too. I hadn't really been able to put a finger on it but it's definitely the colour scheme that lifts this well-above being an average cover. It's one thing I know I'm not comfortable using myself - all my colours tend to be very strong, so it's a good art tip to take away from this.

Love the cover and the desaturated colors. I'm a big fan of Nepath's bold style and was curious to see how he'd draw Fusion, and I must say she turned out very nicely.

I like how Nepath mimicked the feel of Ben's artwork here, if nothing else than in the colors.
