Ah the catwalk. One of the most powerful tools she has. Sounds like they need a magic/ technology hybrid system, as they probably have a way of stopping purely magic based stuff too.

All the MM alternates were killed---but as established in the MM story, THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX, the Vicki of that world released her MM's technology to the rest of the world. In fact, the Ganger of that world specifically communicated with the President and Frostbitten, in their very FIRST appearance, anywhere.

well if you have an infinite number of possibilities, then you'd need an infinite number of assassins to kill MM, that way you can match the number of MM's. if you tried to kill infinite MM with less than infinite then you'd end up with an infinite number you'd still need to kill, as any fraction of infinite is still infinite. therefore failing to even one means that he only killed a fraction of the infinite MM's, resulting in an infinite number of MM's remaining, not counting the fact that even those that died could have released there inventions before they died, and it also means that she wouldn't be there to stop the gangers from getting the tech.
