Calling your attention to two past pages: where the Keepers gave Debbie a book here and when the Smiling Man said he would get the secret one of them was hiding here. Honest. We've been building up to this.
The Smiling Man, power-wise, is more than a match for any of them, but he's human– all his abilities are from devices/artifacts/talismans hidden on his person. That's why he was combing the multiverse, looking for weapons to fight Ringo with, when he first met Lightbringer. Unfortunately, if Debbie takes one, he would obliterate them with some of the remaining devices.
As Mindmistress said, Debbie's the only one who can't be effectively tortured–which is one reason she didn't tell the others, at least until she could find something in the journal that they could use.
Next Tuesday, a surprise guest artist. Next Thursday, I'm up for the art again. We're getting there, people.
thanks but that isnt a ringo fanart click the picture and you will see the big surprise.
Anyway a normal human is the most scary character
dr doom, Kang , lex luthor , joker from american comics, sensui (yuyu hakusho), hao (shaman king), cyrus (pokemon) from manga, all these guys are normal humans but easily can defeat gods to their knees
cool! and algeya, that's really good, and super cute, I was thinking about doing ringo, since I cant work on my comic anyhow, myself, maybe a brief thing with Alex later in the story, where Alex regretfully declines due him feeling he's not powerful enough.
Smiley has casually clobbered Lightbringer and Dasien and even Ultra, who's probably the most powerful of the whole bunch of heroes. For him to knock out Jenny doesn't strike me as that much of a stretch.
I'd hold off using Smiley in anything else until you finish reading the next two week's comics, ArdRhi.
Smiley's---and some other characters'--humanity--will be a major plot point, BTW.
I still think Jenny got a bum rap. She defeats Hindu gods and beings that can blow up planets, and a *gadget baddie* can lay her low with one shot? Just for that, I'm gonna have a cameo of Smiley in my comic and have her kick his ass. :P
But this still rocks.
"The jolly, CANDY-like button!"
Have I told you guys how much I love this comic?
I just want to say that you are all awesome, and I wish "5" wasn't the highest rank one could give a comic. You all deserve an 11.

So the great multiversal conqueror is but an ordinary man. Kinda scary when you think about it.

Sometimes it's absolutely amazing what falls into place when it originally wasn't intended.

Truthfully, it's SOMETIMES. Some stuff is a happy accident. Synergy in storytelling. But we were trying to tell an actual story.

Gah. How does one link in DD comments? 'This page' in the previous comment should go to http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=531115

For those who forget when Debbie was given the book, it was on this page. Yes, we plan that far in advance. Honest. No, really. Well, mostly.
