The dragons can absorb a range of things, including their treasure (It makes for easy transportation after a raid!), and that's what Tan did with that shard. However, we weren't actually going to see them doing this for another couple of chapters. Remember that backpack with the food in it? Edan left that in the cave, and originally Tan was going to be hauling that around (There was actually some lines cut out to do with that too) I kind of forgot to include that a few pages back, so instead, I had to kind of adapt it as best I could. Good thing I already had that bit of lore planned really, rather than having to hand wave it!

Just a quick note for anyone passing by, I'm really sorry about the delay, I'll kind of explain that when the page goes up (Hey, I normally do!), hoping to get it up Monday at the latest, just thought I'd let anyone curious know that I've not abandoned things!
