If you look back at the previous page, you'll see Dasien shooting a bizarre look over at Energize's costume as he suits up. I guess she's not a big fan of yellow.
I really like this version of Energize. I felt very uncomfortable drawing my opening pages for some reason but luckliy there was no Dasien. When I do the next set I need to make sure that I get her right!!
As for the story...because my comic has a sort of serious tone and Dasien is much more light hearted I decided early on that I wanted to do the story less about action and more about the two characters.
Luckly i read Dasien and felt familiar enough with the character to have a crack at writing her in keeping with her nature. There were some needed changes (which Neil thankfully corrected) but all in all i think it has worked out well.
Actually, I didn't necessarily draw this in order. If it seems that I'm hitting my stride her, I should note that this is the first time we've gotten a full frontal illustration of Energize's costume from me (other than the splash page, anyway).
I suppose my version of Mike didn't look entirely like Mike, but I also have a much softer style than Nepath.
I think you hit your stride with this page. Your Energize is beginning to look like you got "the feel" of the character and the dialogue between him and Das is well done.
Should be a really fun team-up!

Panel 3 was used as a place-holder page while we were stalling.
Yellow and red... not the most subtle colors ^^
Yes, and they're going on a STAKEOUT. This had occurred to me already.
