Fusion #4 Page 43

Here's page 43 of Fusion #4. I'm away on vacation right now, so I'm hoping this update works as it's supposed to. (I've never set a page with a live date in advance before.)
For a little background on the names flying around on this page: Flamer is part of the Fabulous Five (thus not a part of SAS), and Sure Shot is a member of SAS (although he tends to work alone). Brooder also clarrifies Fusion's status here as a prospect. Technically, SAS would refer to her as a Green Member–the designation given to such prospects. The color coding of members will probably be discussed sometime in the future.

He's always brooding because he is surrounded by people with powers.. :)

I kind of figured that Flamer was the "Human Torch" equivalent, can't wait to see him (or her) and Sure Shot in action in the future.

I think they left the "human" out of their clone

I really like the story telling you have going on though out. I feel very immersed and can see the well thought out structure. This is seriously one of my favorite web comics right now.

ya, it definitely is well thought out. the problem is that is in fact legal, if he did stop a drunk driver that did in fact have congresses blessing, doing anything to him would in fact be illegal, though he could arrest him or some such, which would force a trial, which would bring such out into the open, which would get the hero arrested or whatever the punishment was, and shortly thereafter congress would probably revoke the blessing. since the heroes don't have congresses blessing they would be in deep trouble, which may or may not result in new legislation tying there hands. all around a bad day for all. brooder might know all of this and is feigning ignorance in order to get some intel, and it is in the bad guy's best interest in order assuage the heroes, the advantage is that it surmounts to a surprise inspection, which is difficult to hide anything that does in fact cross the line.

If this guy is the big bad, why are they believing anything he says? "It is all legal, honest. We went through Congress and everything." "Oh, well if that's the case I won't kick your butt. I could kick your butt now since you are clearly breaking the law as I understand it and my job is to bring you in. But you said it is legal, so okay. Same thing happened to that drunk driver I stopped last night. He passed a law in Congress making it legal so I just let him go." Schmucks.

VERY interesting. But why is he ADMITTING all this? Isn't what he did, directing several assassins, highly illegal? I love, though, how you get a real sense of a world, a well-thought out system, for the SAS and superheroes in general. It reminds me of MAGELLAN's well thought out superheroic world.
