The internal monologue feels very different from Fusion's narrative voice. Given the tone, the color, in addition to the size and shape of the silhouette in the background of the last panel, I'm actually going to go with X-Pletive as our narrator.

i saw some charby and modest medusa when it first started (well less than 100 pages) and it didn't seem to grab me, as there wasn't much going on. all in all i prefer fusion, even the simple layout you generally go with i like, as it is simple and functional. heck if the russians went went simple and functional instead of trying to be like the germans they would have had the AK prior to '47, which would have saved quite a few lives. i am not saying that trying new stuff isn't good, but simple and functional is were it is at, learn to do that really good and it beats fancy stuff any day of the week.

Oz, to make sense with those two words, you need to add a third, "of" between them. "Dead Meat" works well, but I'm going to go with "Bad Eggs". Reading the text tends to remind me of the old "Father Flanagan" and "Boy's Town" movies and I wonder if we're not getting a glimpse of "Expletive's" origin story.

jamoecw--Fusion was also in a tiebreaker for Best Layout, but it was up against Charby and Modest Medusa. Fusion can't repel voting power of that magnitude! Still, to be in a tiebreaker with two of the top comics on the Duck goes to show how awesome you folks are.

So, what happens when it turns out your victim is actually tougher/stronger/faster than you and a better fighter? "Oh look, a victim!" becomes "Oh $#!+ an ambulance!" The two words are: "Dumb" and "dumber". Maybe "Police" and "Emergency", as in where these bad guys will be going next. "Emergency" and "Morgue" if you "victim" is more of an anti-hero.
