1-1: The Question

And heeere we go!

So, here we have our protagonists. Gary and his… erm… imp.

Technically, it's a homunculus. For those who don't know what that is, it's basically an artificial lifeform, created by the alchemist. This little fellow has no name. Say hello to No-Name!

I know what you're thinking. “What's up with the color of those walls?” Well… it's complicated, and it'll be explained in time.

I feel weird, I have Gary's house more-or-less drawn up on graph paper. I usually do maps of towns or nations, but that's the first time in a long while I've actually mapped out a house. There are some other buildings I should probably figure out before I get around to them…

Anyway, this is not going to have alchemy as presented in, say, Fullmetal Alchemist. This is real alchemy - or, as real as I can get to it while including weird stuff like imps.

This gives me a perfect excuse to finally do some real research on alchemy. Not that I haven't in the past - I totally have - but now I get an excuse to do so.

Regarding color - I'm not really considering coloring it all, as I want a sort of newspaper comic strip feel, but this first week may have color throughout. If people like it, I'll keep it up, but we'll have to see. I already have a color series going, it feels like overkill to color another.

Translation: I'm lazy.
