ironhand: Thank you! I don't know where I originally got them from, but they were in my HU folder, so maybe you sent them to me a long, long time ago? :-) _______ shastab24: Well, I'm glad you did, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed that HUA #1 was missing.
Well, this will be interesting for me. I have the original version, so it's odd to know it's a misprint, of sorts. Same with HA #4, with the two pages swapped. With this one, it shows what happens when you order directly from seeing it on IndyPlanet.
I just saw that you added Beam into the trade. Even if it's by accident, those first few pages were connected to the HU so feel free to keep them there
...yeah, it was a mistake, HUA #1 should have been included. Thanks for telling me, I'll fix it. (I gathered the files for this edition over several years, so I can't quite say where they originally came from :P)
That might just be a mistake... it was a lot of stuff to put together after all (and I haven't even announced it officially yet, in case I had to make any changes :P). Let me check...
I was going through the trade again, and realized something: the first HU Adventures isn't there. Instead, there's a Beam story I thought I'd remembered reading before, but not as a HU Adventures thing. Where did the Beam story come from, I wonder? And I also am curious as to the exclusion of the first HU Adventures (especially as it introduces Shell to the HUniverse).
Fair question! On ka-blam/indyplanet, you're free to set prices yourself. There's the basic printing cost determined by ka-blam, and you're free to set it to any amount above that. All HU and HA print-on-demand comics are set to the printing price - that is, no one but ka-blam is making any money off it (except for HA #0, the proceeds were donated to Hero). On HA, I've made clear from the get-go that most or all comics will be collected in print. On HU, it wasn't clear, but we couldn't ask everybody involved - but it seemed like a good thing to me to have HU collected in print. I asked Nepath whether he felt the same way - basically, I regard HU as his project - and he agreed with me. So I went ahead and submitted it to ka-blam/indyplanet. Of course, if anyone involved seriously disagrees with that decision, I'd have to omit their pages from the book (given they will be available through the webcomic, I assumed this isn't the case).
Okay, I'll be the one to ask.
Abt- How is comic sales money being distributed? That's a lot of artists and writers to account for. Now, I haven't done research on the percentage indyplanet sends a publisher on sales so sorry if I'm... hallucinating when thinking the community comics are actually making any money.
I just got the Heroes Unite Archives trade today and it looks amazing. I reccommend people grab it. All the Heroes Unite and HU Adventures stories plus the extra pages all in one volume.
Aha, I totally didn't read that one right. But I'm not quite sure if I understand... Did Bombshell leak vital intel like HU's teleportation technology, or do you mean that she leaked the rumor about a mole?
But... She said she deliberately leaked intel... That's definitely a confession. Or do you mean that Bombshell is lying? Urgh, why can't we take anything at face value here...
Damn it, Abt, I need a lot more to go on... There's the writer's block again.
To specifically answer AzuJOD's question, but maybe also alleviate some general concern :p - Bombshell didn't really confess a whole lot on this page, except that she had a hand in planting the rumors about a mole. There'll be a follow-up to this scene in one of the next chapters that will clear things up a bit.

Irrevenant: Well spotted! Short answer: No. Long answer: It'll be revealed in a future chapter!
irrevenant at 5:37AM, March 24, 2013
Hey, plot point: Bombshell never told Relik to stop transmitting this, did she? Does that mean all of HU got to hear this little monologue?
fukujinzuke at 3:49AM, Aug. 28, 2012
Thanks for the info. Makes sense to me.

I think they're posted at print cost, so nobody (except Ka-Blam) makes money.

So if I understand correctly Bombshell has not been masterminding the last couple of super villain plots, she just gave them suggestions, right?
