Fitz: It's a matter of expectation too, right? I mean, if I weren't me, you might expect something different. So, for now, I can just play with expectations ^_^ And it may sound depressing so far, but it's just one of the pieces of the puzzle. Actually, adding this “voice-over” was a last minute decision. Like on signifikat, there's a sort of “reservoir” of written text that I have, but I'm only figuring out where to put it as I go along. I started signifikat with quite a long monologue (Ed's thoughts), and I like getting into a protagonist's head like that. This text right here isn't as elaborate, but it establishes a certain mood. Also, it lends a certain context to the picture. For instance, when reading the text you really might interpret the rather abstract shapes as a turquoise-lit cloudy sky. Without the text, there's no telling what you'll see (well, you're primed to a “deep space” environment, but that still leaves some options open)…

alejkhan: That'll teach me to be more careful with my metaphors next time :3 Meaning: This IS outer space, but in my imagination, it looks as if it was underwater. Too bad you can't take a direct look into my imagination, eh?

Nice! I agree with everyone else! And thus far this comic seems to be churning up more interest already! Lots of new commenters O_O I can only ponder what could be in store. At least with daily updates I shouldn't have to wait long. And heck, this week I might actually have time to see the updates as they go up! :P

Underwater...and here I was foolishly assuming outer space! Though, they are both pretty horrific locations, in my opinion. ^_^

Indeed. It reads more like a book than a comic so far - with loose images floating around in your head as you try to make something of it. I do love that feeling. Not every book gives you that, but when it does, it's magical. And I expected no less from Holon :) The story so far sounds rather depressive, almost intimidating. Can't wait to read more!
