Executive Initiation part 1 stage 3

Ok, here's the facelift I promised. I'm still in Artrage, I switched color to a darkish red and changed pressure sensitivity to 46% (Usually I vary between 44 and 48%) percentage isn't really all that important, it just has to be within this range.

I chose red because it contrasts the blue I used for the roughing. Plus, when I change the image's opacity, the red will remain visible while the blue fades out mostly. This makes inking easier, since using the red to “finalize” the sketch removes any need for guessing during inking thus saving precious time and thinning any potential frustrations. There are enough opportunities for hair-pulling moments as it is, why add to it. :)

So, with the soft red pencil. I determined what should be visible and traced only the lines that actually will be seen in the final product. this means I skipped the “skeleton,” the head crosses, bits of clothing obstructed by other bits of clothing, etc. Also, with the woman, her hair obstructs some of her head, so I only traced the lines of the head not covered by the hair.

as you can see, when done, the tracing cleans this mess up nicely.

In the next post, I will be working in Inkscape. Stay-tuned for an exciting ride through my dementia. :)
