Man, so much stuff happened since my first update. I went to the North Carolina states track meet, got 7th in the 110 meter hurdles, took exams, sent off a ton of forms to my future college, graduated from high school, and now I'm back with this second page.
Oh God this page…
This page took me perhaps 18 hours total to get done. Why? Because I'm an idiot. Never draw a shot from the inside of a car, ESPECIALLY if you have never so much as practiced it beforehand. It will haunt your dreams. (By the way, in case any of you were wondering what kind of car that is, it's a 1971 Buick Riviera. Not only is it my favoritest car ever, but it also happens to be the only one I have a usable model of.)
Our story takes place in the (fictional) town of Fern Stream, North Carolina. Why Carolina? Cause ah like mah state. The town seems to have serious problems with erosion, considering those mountains did a lot of shrinking between panels 2 and 4. Either that or your artist is incompetent. one of those two.
What I really want to talk about though is Grace Williams. I hesitate to call her the main character, because there is another character that could also have a claim to that title, but she is definitely my favorite. The whole Idea behind Grace originated when I randomly came up with her hairstyle and just fleshed her out from there. It may seem like a trivial thing, but I believe that it isn't important where you get your characters, it's what you do with them. Characters are the single most important thing in a story to me, even outweighing the story itself, and even though I'd rather let you try to figure out Grace's character on your own than tell you about it, I will tell you that you have a lot of good stuff to look forward to from her.
Oh yes, before I go I should probably mention her shoes. You may have noticed they have those odd leather shinguards on them. The story behind those is that some time ago I befriended Geo Delmaro, author of the webcomic In Dark Hell on DD (It's unfortunately on hiatus right now because he's got some personal issues to deal with right now, but I highly recommend you check it out.) He said he would be willing to re-draw a group shot of my main cast if I were to draw one and send it to him. Like the artistic noob I am I cut off Grace's feet, so just for the hell of it he improvised these shoes. I liked them so much that I decided to keep them, and that is the tale of how Grace got those weird shoes.

Exclusive school in the middle of nowhere? In fiction, that is usually very suspicious...

Yeah, Geo was the reason I got rid of her original blocky fauxhawk for this spikey one. Maybe one of these days I'll upload scans from some of my early drawings of these characters so people can laugh at how stupid they looked.

If I recall correctly, wasn't your version of the hairstyle a lot different, and the current one is also due to Delmaro? Note to admins, I am also a friend of the author and Casarus, and love to pick up on the slightest errors. Good job dude, I can see why you needed all of Wednesday morning to work on that.

Lol, don't worry too much about the admins man. I don't think they pay much attention to comments unless I report them.

As long as Grace doesn't change her hairstyle like some lesbian, red haired, anime martial artist on a certain individuals' comic who's haircut changed my sexual desires and set them strongly against the character, although they had been there quite powerfully before, I'm cool with the soil erosion. However, it must be duly noted that I will give you no support whatsoever on your webcomic if the mountain erosion is foreshadowing some capillary destruction. Catch my drift, motherfucker? lol. nice page man. I can tell you did a lot of work on it. To potential admins reading this: I am very good friends with the author of this comic, so my language is only used in a friendly manner, despite the overall appearance of it not being too friendly at all. (Typocally, most people don't call their friends "motherfucker", but alas, what would the world be without a little facetious playful cursing? The last panel made me laugh out loud. Now that I can reminisce back on high school, I can frankly say that all of my time spent was thinking exactly that. SLEEP!!! Ironic that I am spending my whole summer swimming and waking up at ungodly hours in the morning (4:50) to go drown in a pool somewhere for over two hours, and then proceed to do it again. I have digressed again. But a wonderful job. I can say that my second comic had considerably worse art, and yours is not at all bad. I commend you on your artistry, being somewhat hindered by a little thing called DYSGRAPHIA. You can check out my second comic here : http://www.drunkduck.com/Porcupines_With_Hand_Grenades/index.php?p=810795 to get a refresher, although you have already seen it. and oh... limp dork monster.
