The Great Snowbird Migration

Awesometown on March 24, 2007

As a small Central Florida town we have a very high elderly population which has a high tide and a low tide as many are nothing more than seasonal residents. Every year like clockwork they show up to clog our roads, fill our restaurants, and complain about young people… then also like clockwork they leave in droves and everyone is free to drive the roads again. These residents are known as Snowbirds, and this is a handy migration chart. Many come from other cities not depicted here, however I have represented the vast majority based on the license plates I see.
