Second Manzai - Unlimited Wonderland

-THE JOKE-
This comic is a tribute to a known forum fanbase called "Henshin Justice Unlimited", or HJU for short, dedicated to the tokusatsu (Kamen Rider and Super Sentai/Power Rangers) franchise. I often frequent that place, and it's where the idea of making comics originated. The other tribute is to my favorite season of the year, Winter, where I get to dress fashionably. =D

Most of the puns are related to both of these tributes.

Cold Shoulder - The origin of this expression which is often repeated is that visitors to a house who were welcome were given a hot meal but those who weren't were offered only ‘cold shoulder of mutton’. This is repeated in several etymological texts, including Hendrickson's usually reliable 'Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins'. There's no evidence to support this view though and it appears to be an example of folk etymology. (From this link) The pun runs along with “cold weather” from the previous panel.

When Henshin Justice Unlimited forums was hit with a string of viruses and hackings, the site was very slow and hit a lot of errors to its viewers. Afterwards, it became a joke that Henshin Justice Unlimited became “very limited” to most of the users, even the admin. It then spawned its own banner, a hot sexy woman holding a sign that says “Very” and covers the prefix “un-” in “Unlimited. The banner randomly comes up in a cycle on the forums.

The last panel is a bunch of wordplay involving ”Justice“, making use of the word as the compound words ”just ice“ and the similar-sounding heterograph (different spelling and meaning), ”just us“. The last word play tributs to an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, where Aang is put on trial for his previous life's ”crimes" against a town with a jaded view of justice.
