Ride On (Verden Dunes)

Ok, it's just a filler. I didn't want to make you wait any longer than necessary, so I posted it now… Yes, I said I wanted to be done with the horse story, and this really is the very last picture now. Promise! But I also said I wanted to draw Fra going in a Tlt. And I said I wanted to show you a typical Verden landscape. It can't get any more typical than this: I took this stock photo in the Verden Dunes. These inland sand dunes were formed in the last glacial period and are a landscape that is more or less unique in Europe. And a tiger doesn't seem out of place at all there. ;)
And now for the good news: A proper comic page is on its way. I've finished drawing all the line art, and I should post it right now if I didn't think the gag works better in full watercolour. Since I haven't got terribly much else to do these days I expect to finish it very soon now.
In the meantime I hope you'll enjoy this photo-watercolour-pencil hybrid picture. I've still neither got Photoshop, nor the slightest clue about how to use it, so this is done the old-fashioned way, like I did it before one or two years ago. This means: I cut out the watercoloured characters with a very sharp knife and utmost care, glued them on a photo print and scanned the whole thing. So if you spot any mistake (but I haven't found any so far), please remember this not bad mouse work as can be seen ever so often on the internet, but rather a sign of true handicraft. ;)
