This kind of shit happens to me all the time, except it is when I'm in bed with my sleep mask on, and it's that I can see the bones of my hands through the mask, silhouetted against the window, which I can also see through the mask, despite the fact that there is a blanket over the window ... I agree with x3022, and to make my point clear I will qoute him as such,

But to be honest, I didn't get it until I read the title of this strip, "there is no such thing as too much coffee..." maybe if the coffee cup in p2 was near his mouth? and on a probably completely unnecessary stab at logic, it would seem that p3 would have just 1 clown, right? i mean, bowtie guy is wacked out on coffee and when he looks across the table he sees his companion as a pyscho clown, right? but why 3?
and why am i writing a freakin' book about this? anyway, excellently weird and though-provoking. too bad i can't give a higher rating!"
