MT Issue 34: Page 9

Big changes in the script from their original writing. When I get a chance to sit down and draw I usually blast through a good 7 pages in a few hours and just let the current take me along. It isn't until I'm re-reading what I wrote that I'm like, ‘This doesn’t make sense' or, ‘it would sound better to do-yadda yadda’. Yesterday's improv made me rewrite almost this entire page, but I think it came out well. Bit wordy tho.

(If the Mob Clans are like high schoo cliques): And the Bird clan would probably be the guys who spent all their time in shop fixing up motorcycles, when they weren't beating people up and taking their money. (Air pirates, after all, need to take good care of their planes. Lol, thinking about air pirates made me think of Don Karnage, from that old Disney show Tale Spin XD.)

@Itzal: The snakes are the Green Dragons. The Diamond Snakes (Ace's family) are the sleazy ones. I'm not sure what clique the Dragons fall into, really, tho the characters I've thought of seem to be musically inclined.

Heh, as much as I liked the plots before, I have to say this honestly works out a lot nicer, as well as tying in Weasel's backstory into curent structure.

Basically, the nerds are hiring the jocks to do their dirty work. When you think about it, about than half of these different yakuza groups are a bit like the types of Cliques you get in High school. The Boars were the jocks, the Tanuki are the art kids, the Mice are the nerds, the Rabbits are like the stoner kids, the Dogs are like those weird kids who were actually EXCITED to be hall monitors, the tigers are like the kids into new agey stuff and amateur magic, and the Snakes are like those sleazy guys who would sleep around with anything in a skirt...with some pirates and monkeys thrown in. Tho Al X reminds me of the kids who would go down to the arcade and have soda chugging contests and spend their lunch money playing street fighter 3 and whatnot.
