Off Hours - Chapter 1 Page 5
dueeast on Dec. 5, 2007
This page introduces Chance Powers, who plays Sapphira Hu, and Christopher S. Juarez, who plays Deon Maye in Due East. It was very fun to do this page…and after input from the readers on page 4, I decided to go ahead and extend the Chance/Chris segment another page to accommodate the question “Where are the paparazzi?” Look for them on Saturday, because I'm almost done with the art on that page. Since we had an extra page to add, I decided to put this page up early!

Keep in mind, although WV to Atlanta is longer, distance-wise, NYC to PA has a tendency to have a lot of traffic congestion, etc. So although it's only 120 miles (which, where I grew up, we regularly drove just to go shopping at a mall), it SEEMS much farther.

She is indeed a lovely woman. :)

This has the makings of a very interesting tale.

Great job! I love their interaction. I can't wait the paparazzi thing ;)

Yeah I was wondering why she looked more chubby than in your avatar (major cartoon hottie alert, btw). Great dialogues and the chemistry between the characters seem to be the trademark of this comic :)

I really like this page, Allen. Fantastic job. :-)

usedbooks: It's still 120 miles one way (I Yahoo mapped it), so it's a little more of an effort than dropping a friend downtown. :) DAJB: Maybe she's better at scripted work than improvising? ;) blntmaker: Thanks! I'm sure the red carpet is rolled up and in the truck bed somewhere...

EXCELLENT! What a cool beginning for the stars of DE! Where's the red carpet!
DAJB at 11:14PM, Dec. 5, 2007
Fibber! For an actress, she's a very poor liar!

Awe. That's cute. Nice coloring. "All the way" from NYC to PA? It's not that far. My roommates did a road trip with no stops from WV to Atlanta for DragonCon (12 hour drive, five plus-sized people in a small car). ;-) But we're broke college students, not actors.
