The two have changed into their uniforms and are in Commodore Tang's office and on time too. Though Vera was a pirate she was also an officer in the Aordian Fleet. So her commission has been reactivated. Her insignia is for a supply officer. (Ensign to be exact) She was bored so jumped at the chance to do an undercover mission to infiltrate a group of pirates Unfortunately she got too good as a pirate. She remained an intelligence asset.

Tang is a Bruce Greenwood Pike figure from the Star Trek reboot. I repainted the face and added some more grey to the hair. And there's McCoy. He was always my favorite and I love the smirk on the face sculpt. Notice in panel 3 he answers Jenn's question though she addressed it to Tang. He might be more than a medical officer like Dr. Maturin was in the Aubrey/Maturin series? I have him as assigned to Fleet staff rather than a ship's medical officer. The same way Commodore Tang as a commodore has a flag ship but does not command a ship. His flagship is Defiant NCC-1764 whose captain is off on an undercover assignment.

The office set is a wonderful render of a star fleet office. I had to lighten the image quite a bit and extend out the walls to fit the characters. Here is a link to the artist's Deviantart Star Trek gallery:

Any copyrights are his and it is his work not mine. I just did the figures and compositions.

The rant is behind me. Once I got the rant out I felt better. A lot of the feelings expressed are based on my poor self-image and the projection of that self-image onto others. It is not an accurate perception of reality. I know that but sometimes the cognition slips a little.
