OzoneOcean suggested I make the pages darker - to make them ‘pop’. When someone of his caliber makes a suggestion, you listen… So I fiddled around with Brightness and Contrast in Photodraw (don't have Photoshop). Does this look better? I sort of feel like it does. Please let me honestly know. If it looks a lot better, I may go back and modify some of the previous pages the same way. Anyway, I thought I'd top off the slice-of-life pages with a gratuitous love scene (Don't think I broke the teen-rating). Strange, interesting stuff to come…

Never.. so... Satisfied! (?! I love this ambiguous meaning here)

Hehe I always find doing intimate scenes really fun and very challenging especially as you want to get across the strength of their desire and emotional pleasure as well as keep the whole thing pretty tasteful viewing too. You've made a really first class job of doing just that.

Wow! Thanks kallikak! I'm not completely new to art. I've done a few paintings and drawings here and there, but never enough to get consistently good and fast at it. For example, I have trouble with the proportions of the human figure and face without an image or model to go off of. And being able to get it done quickly... Both of those art aspects seem to be a requirement for comic art -- thus I'm a newbie :)

so, this is a rather spectacular comic thus far. i notice you talk about yourself as a 'newbie' but i'd have to say the art and especially the writing are amazing. you consistently get the message across, both in the images and the text (it's always clear exactly what is happening). and to top it off, it's just a really engaging story. i'm eager to see which directions this story will go :) keep at it!

Hey LilyRose, Thanks for the compliments. As for your story, hardcore doesn't scare me so I'll take a look at it - it sounds interesting.
LilyRose at 11:36PM, Nov. 27, 2012
Hey there. Liked the concept, now I'm really caught up in the story; looking forward to seeing how it develops. You've already set up some nice conflicts. (I love Dad laying the guilt trip on her. It taps into some pretty deep stuff). The slice of life stuff is good. It seems to be a character-driven story so all that is really important. As for "condensing" some of it -- I've always felt that the hardest part about editing what you've done is knowing what to throw out and what to keep. So I think you've got the right idea, with trimming the fat and getting to the bones of it. Anyway; good work. You're welcome to check out my comic, though I don't know if you'd like it, being that it's a bit -- no, way more hardcore than yours. (My character does kill the bad guy :D ) But it deals with some similar issues. I recently posted a "If you're reading this, say "Hi" so I know you're out there" on it, but being that I got zero responses, if you do read it I guess you'll be the first :-)

Well that settles it :) Thanks for your help, folks

It looks great like this.

Thanks OzoneOcean. Your suggestion was really appreciated. Someday I may get brave enough to experiment with color (gotta get faster first though :)
Ozoneocean at 11:47PM, Nov. 26, 2012
Thanks for the compliment ^_^ This does look great and doesn't break the teen rating. Good work!

I agree - I went back and 'darkened' some of those older washed-out looking pages and re-posted them. With my scanner not seeming to scan dark enough (still haven't got a new one yet), I've concluded that I'll just have to make the art a bit darker too
plymayer at 8:36PM, Nov. 25, 2012
The pages do appear to stick out a bit more now.
KimLuster at 7:30PM, Nov. 25, 2012
Thanks Stig - I'm thinking I will stick with this darker look from this point forward.

Hi, I started reading this when it was featured and I have liked it very much so far. And I think this page looks better than the older ones.
