So in a few pages Kimber Lee and Socorro go from grudgingly housemates back to the huggy BFF's they used to be. Too fast? In my experience with humans, it's not impossible. Emotions often act like literal switches. Turn one off and the others take over - a fact I find a little troubling, to be honest…
.
Anyway, at least they didn't squish the baby in any serious sort of way :)
.
The big pow-wow is done - time to move the story forward!
.
Thanks for reading everyone :)

Squished is a very nice way of putting it. XD Love that last panel! :)

Their reconciliation felt natural to me. In my (limited) experience, people tend to behave in characteristic ways. Those who are capable of compassion and reason will return to that behavior even after great times of adversity. Of course, those who are vindictive and cruel usually return to that behavior as well, no matter how hard they try to hide it... So, to me, the page was a great exercise in character exposition.

"Is this comic gonna make me cry?" Rabbit: "Only if you don't believe in the power of friendship" (Always loved that commercial :)

Ah shucks. They never stopped being them. Or being friends. No, I am not crying. Just something in my eye. It's bright in here....

This page is really touching. I'm glad they've been able to reach a common ground and rekindle their relationship.

@Banes: hey, TK makes me laugh on purpose, so touché :)

@bravo1102: Yeah, maturity really is the key. Some people think it's important to hang on to negative feelings if your 'honor was besmirched' or something goofy like that. While I think our current society has a severe lacking in personal honor, there's different kinds of honor, and I don't think the 'I-ve-been-insulted' kind should be glorified ;)

After some years go by, the emotions aren't so raw. Even if there's been festering anger/regret with these two, the friendship underneath is still there. Damn you, KL, this page made me a little teary-eyed! You did that on purpose!
bravo1102 at 8:21AM, March 4, 2014
These are real friends. It's also mature interpersonal behavior. Priorities. What's more important holding on to my grudge and not having you in my life or letting it go and getting you back? Yeah, like that.

@FC: Thanks! I do really hope I can learn to cut down on some of my over-wordy text and let the visuals tell more of the tale. That's sort of the point of a graphic story right? Otherwise, just write it eh... :)

You have a good knack for capturing gesture and body language.
