More minimal wording - my hope is the art is conveying things properly.
.
Art: Not sure what I was doing with Kimber Lee's hair in those middle panels - 60's-era Priscilla Presley may be sexy to some people lol… Also, got lots of perspectives off in that last panel; some of the cast is way too big in proportion to others for their positions - happens when I draw individuals and forget they're part of a whole scene… :( Anyway, I hope that doesn't take away from the weight of the scene… cuz something huge has happened…
.
Oh, and a room like this is totally realistic… Let's just say my parents have a house, in Tornado country, and the bottom part of the house, part of it is in a hill, and it has a secure room like this, going into the hill… Tight doors too… House could take a direct Tornado hit and we'd be fine…
.
Thanks for reading everyone!

Her ability to resist dying kinda creeps me out at times! lol Great last panel!!! That must have taken some time to draw.

Time to get serious.

@jerrie: oh yeah, but it doesn't seem to be overly bothering Kimber Lee though. It does the others, but now they're safe behind a airtight door... in a room with Kimber Lee... Hmmm ;)
KimLuster at 4:21AM, Aug. 6, 2014
@Banes: Holy Tear Gas! lol Yeah, somethin' certainly is up :)
jerrie at 1:55AM, Aug. 6, 2014
Tear gas???? uh-oh....
Banes at 9:48PM, Aug. 5, 2014
Holy smokes. So Kim had some kind of communication with the glowing light - and suddenly she's up, cricks her own back into alignment, and is now all stoic and Terminator-esque. It seems like maybe the glowing thing DID take her true personality offline somehow? She seems to be having no reaction to her mortally wounded friend. What the deuce...? This is frikkin' fantastic!!!

@Peipei: Oh yes it is (teargas that is) - I once was on a beach, during spring break, and... uh, nevermind lol... Yes, it is a bad wound Socorro has - very bad! She likely took it on page 188!
Peipei at 6:12PM, Aug. 5, 2014
Oh man, tear gas is bad! I sense an ass kicking in those tear gas folks futures! And man, that is one hell of a wound, looks fatal almost x.x.

@FC: I love this old song call 'New Orleans Ladies' - there's a line in the chorus: "they sashay by... they sashay by"... Always loved the mental image :) Yes, Kimber Lee seems extremely calm and confident... Yup, sure does... ;)
fallopiancrusader at 10:54AM, Aug. 5, 2014
Check her out in panel 2, sashay-ing down the catwalk in a room full of teargas! So fierce! Panel 5 does a good job of exposition: Kimber as an island of calm in a sea of pain. But calm at what cost? Aye, there's the rub...

@PaulEberhartd: I guess, for lots of people (including me) it's just exhausting to think about preparing for everything that could go wrong haha! I mean, Floods, Storms, Volcanoes, Meteor Strikes, Invasions... I think we just try to gauge what is somewhat 'likely' and prepare for that,... or not (post-Katrina New Orleans, I'm lookin' at you)
PaulEberhardt at 7:57AM, Aug. 5, 2014
A secure room is a handy thing to have, even when there's no tornado. :) I'm always amazed that there are not very many nuclear bomb shelters left from the Cold War era. Seems like most people didn't bother building them.
KimLuster at 4:24AM, Aug. 5, 2014
@plymayer: lol... maybe :); @jgib99: yeah we'll go with that haha, and thanks!; @VinoMas: Well, if I could pick an extra category besides Sci-Fi for this comic, it'd probably be Action/Adventure, with healthy doses of drama and philosophy!
VinoMas at 1:30AM, Aug. 5, 2014
It's one thing after another for this poor girl. and...I see WOUNDS!!!
jgib99 at 9:38PM, Aug. 4, 2014
With everything that's happened recently to Kimber Lee. I think we can understand why her hair is out of control. Great page!
plymayer at 9:00PM, Aug. 4, 2014
She's just about to "Hulk" out on them.
