S'Okay…
.
Kimber Lee (or ‘something’) is presenting her case, and performing contortions worthy ofcirque du soleil while doing so. Because…
1) if she's being controlled by an inhuman something, it might think stupendous display of physical might could make an better impression…
2) I thought, with all the talking going on the last few pages, a little bit of physicality would make a nice break from all the faces…
3) The poses are just freakin' fun to do!
.
Can Kimber Lee still hear the warroom group without touching the floor? Maybe - she's still touching the chair, which touches the floor. Or maybe she's just not addressing them as directly as it seems - sorta cold-reading. It's ambiguous - let it be whichever you prefer!
.
Heading to San Antonio next week and will be gone a few days. I'll likely put up next page Saturday evening and it could be several more days after that before next one gets up.
.
Thanks for reading everyone!!

I love the way her legs flow with the top of the panel in panel 3!
plymayer at 12:27AM, Oct. 20, 2014
Love the layout.
KimLuster at 12:27PM, Oct. 17, 2014
@Paul: Thank You! And I like the way you think haha :)
PaulEberhardt at 12:11PM, Oct. 17, 2014
However, if one assumes that she can't hear them very well through her fingertips, it may well be the mysterious entity talking: someone/something(?) that self-confident wouldn't allow any rude behaviour like an interruption by a mere mortal, which would make the poses a way of pointedly not listening. ;D
PaulEberhardt at 12:05PM, Oct. 17, 2014
Cool poses! I love this sequence, as well as those on the last few pages. I've got a hunch that Kimber and the mysterious entity quite agree on the particular subject of not wanting to get killed, so I, for one, won't draw any premature conclusions about who does the talking right now.
Banes at 10:41AM, Oct. 16, 2014
A little ambiguity there is okay in that area..it might even be preferable! My opinionation, anyways!
KimLuster at 6:28AM, Oct. 16, 2014
@Banes: Yeah Kimber wanted 'control' back so she could talk to the group - argue for her life perhaps. The 'entity' slapped her back down, but I think it's doing a pretty good job. Of course, as you suggest, Kimber Lee could be 'assisting' somehow, behind the scenes ;) Of course, I could be dreaming haha...
Banes at 5:30AM, Oct. 16, 2014
Say what you want about this entity; with Kim's help, that thing can put on a show!!
KimLuster at 1:19PM, Oct. 15, 2014
@Szyszka666: we're all drawn towards danger - like moths to a flame! :)
Szyszka666 at 12:39PM, Oct. 15, 2014
I absolutely adore this dangerously clever attitude of hers!
KimLuster at 10:07AM, Oct. 15, 2014
@FC: You were a dancer?! Fascinating! I've tried dancing, then realized Grace is more than just a name!! I went with Singing and Piano - much easier on the toes and butt (when you fall haha)!
fallopiancrusader at 8:58AM, Oct. 15, 2014
Going on point for a short period of time isn't so bad. Dancing on point every day for years is a different story. I ended my dance career years ago, and my feet still look like beat-up potatoes.
KimLuster at 7:15AM, Oct. 15, 2014
@Bravo: lol don't suggest it - the Colonel might just listen!!!
bravo1102 at 7:02AM, Oct. 15, 2014
RE: The colonel's "god musings" Agreed that Kimber Lee's posing like that might give him some ideas. As if nailing her to a cross would hurt her. Might I suggest burning at the stake?
KimLuster at 6:53AM, Oct. 15, 2014
@tupapayon: Don't I know it! Anyone wants a good cringe - google Ballet Dancers Toes...!
KimLuster at 6:43AM, Oct. 15, 2014
@Bravo: I have seen Black Swan - and that girl had more than just toes to worry about haha! Is Kimber Lee (or 'it') saying she's 'Christ'...? Or an incarnation of... something? Very well could be... or, maybe she just overheard the Colonel's 'god musings' and is having a little fun with him! I wanted her expressions and poses here to convey a strange 'playfulness' (maybe not the smartest thing for her, considering how 'on edge' the Colonel is...). Don't think there are any Evangelicals in this crowd. If she pulls such a stunt in front her husband's mother, on the other hand... ;)
tupapayon at 5:58AM, Oct. 15, 2014
Ballet dancers (and other acrobatic and extreme sport people) do hurt themselves... That's the reason I avoid any physical activity..,
bravo1102 at 5:57AM, Oct. 15, 2014
Ballet: don't see Black Swan if you're concerned about toes. But at this point I'm beginning to believe Kimber Lee is capable of defying gravity. Great page and is actually posing on nothing. That last panel, is she saying she's Christ? She better hope there are no evangelical Christians in her audience.
KimLuster at 4:22AM, Oct. 15, 2014
@Peipei: Hail Yeah! I don't even see how 'normal' Ballet Dancers do it! I have a hard time enjoying Ballet because I keep thinking about their toes :)
KimLuster at 4:20AM, Oct. 15, 2014
@FC: Lol I wondered who'd be the first to note that pose. I've seen Cool Hand Luke, but truthfully it was Connie Nielson doing it in 'The Devil's Advocate' that made me think of it ('cept Connie was nude!).
Peipei at 12:14AM, Oct. 15, 2014
She's way too cool to kill! And the toes thing made me cringe a little x.x. hahahah! Any normal person would have broken their appendages xD!
fallopiancrusader at 8:55PM, Oct. 14, 2014
Well, the pose in panel 6 certainly shows what the entity itself thinks it might be. That panel reminds me of the film "cool hand Luke" (1967)
KimLuster at 6:01PM, Oct. 14, 2014
@Tupapayon: Thanks! Reason number three (next page) will either seal the deal, or make them kill...! Hyukyukyuk...!
tupapayon at 5:50PM, Oct. 14, 2014
Nice poses ... She's making good points.... Kind of like Luke in the Return of the Jedi... Let me go, cause I'm leaving anyways...
