Considering Kimber Lee's ass-kicking abilities from previous pages, it may be confusing that Jack took her down so easily, but as he suggested, if two individuals are equally ‘Godstrained’, then it comes down to human ability and training… And Kimber Lee really hasn't been in many fights in her life!

I did wonder how he had managed to restrain her so easily as I know she's more than capable of turning him into somthing very abstract and grisly if she wanted to, so thanks for that footnote. :)

It feels like this story has to have Kim confront things on all kinds of mental levels (as well as physical) to be complete). Another unexpected outcome, here! I was anticipating more "cosmic, inner brain" stuff". Many surprises in this comic (which is obviously great!). Great looking poses and expressions too.

@plymayer: Yeah I understand that hold, if done right, can be used to hold stronger people... I've never personally tried ;) In any case, it's not a fair hold if you're challenging someone strength-to-strength...! But then, Jack seems to like playing with a stacked deck!!

Sneaky what he does there. That wrist hold would deflect her own strength. The more she puts in the less she would have. And it could be VERY painful.

@Peipei: Yeah, sometimes it seems that the people you can direct the most anger and seeming hatred to, there's often an underlying attraction... People you have no feelings far at all may receive a cold anger, but... Well, we humans are interesting ;)

He may be a pompous jerk but he does have a point. He used other ways to get power before the Godstrain and she only got power after it. So he does have all the advantages of superior experience with being corrupted and using power. So he's better at it and she's just learning. The whole good guys lose unless they're very careful because bad people are so much better at using power.

Why oh why did I have a feeling she would react this way? I knew Kimber wasn't going to cheat on her man for Jack! But as you said before, she still may have some lingering feelings for him even if she's denying it. But the scene still isn't finished yet so i'm betting that anything can happen from here! *busts out the popcorn*
